How did you create these 24 new shades?
There are many shades, like a walk-in closet! I wanted to createa range of iconic colours. So I drew my inspiration from the historic Saint Laurent colour codes: pale pink, bright fuchsia, coral, black... And a core collection with an extra hint of gold as a nod to the House legacy.
Which is your favourite shade?
“The N° 49 TERRIBLEMENT FUCHSIA is so YSL! I also love the darker colours like N° 209 SMOKING – it’s totally rock, very dramatic,but somehow subtle on the lips.”
How should GLOSS VOLUPTÉ be applied?
“I like to apply it all over the lips. I start in the middle of the upper lip and glide out toward the edges and then repeat the gesture on the lower lip.”
